Networking skills training to relaunch

We will be relaunching our networking skills course on 18th January 2010.  - Yes a brand new course for a brand new year brand new decade.

This course will be further reaching and more comprehensive than the “old” networking skills course.

Call this networking skills 2.0 if you like.

Why are networking skills so important ?

In these days of facebook & twitter – it’s quite common – no it’s the norm for most people to never meet their “friends.”

So, sociologists reckon we are losing the art of conversation – and what’s networking if it isn’t conversation.

Also, as sales trainers continue to tell us – people buy people.

So, put the two together – to sell you need to be able to hold a conversation & network. (Although – we point out – networking isn’t selling…)

So that’s where this course comes in – we will teach you how to start & stop a conversation, how to work out what is safe to talk about and how to pick a networking event that suits you and more importantly, your business objectives.

Why a blog about networking?

There are dozens of different schools of thought on networking how & why & etiquette.

So, we didn’t just want to write a blog – we wanted to have a networking community.
