Sheffield based Managing Director Jonathan Senior has double reason to celebrate this year as he receives a prestigious management award and gets set for his first book launch.

Sheffield Director Jonathan Senior celebrates his renewal of the prestigious Chartered Manager award with the publication of his first book “The confessions of an Interim Manager”

Published recently “Confessions” tells the story of how Jonathan went from working for a local council with no hope of promotion to being piloted in as an expensive consultant in 6 different councils around the country in just 5 years.
The book reveals the real truth about what it’s really like staying in hotels, spending long periods motorway driving and away from family and friends whilst doing a highly paid job.
In the second part Jonathan shares his management tips and tricks with the reader. Jonathan’s area of expertise was the highly controversial welfare benefit “housing benefit” – and he gives readers a few hints about getting the job done and being fair at the same time.

Jonathan said “The Chartered Manager award is a skill based award and I wanted to get down in writing some the skills I used – so I decided to write a book.” There are only 800 or so Chartered Managers in the UK and 63 in Yorkshire.

He added “I didn’t want to write a boring management book or just a diary of what I did”. Instead I have tried to write a management book that is actually interesting to read but at the same time, useful”

Jonathan Senior is a Chartered Manager and worked in 6 local authorities as an Interim Manager and consultant for 5 years.

He is now Director of his own online management training company, Sharp End Training.
Jonathan is 40 years old & married with 2 school age children. He has been a member of the Chartered Management Institute since 2002 and was first awarded the Chartered Manage award is 2006. He is an ironman triathlete and has a degree in management.
