is almost upon us and businesses and individuals need to take care to avoid “seasonal scamming”
Firstly, driving abroad.
Beware of genuine looking documents appearing to originate from Spain advising that the recipient is being charged with a “traffic offence” whilst in Spain. The document requests payment of 180 euros (about £110) plus 21 euros court fee and threatens that the debt will be pursued through the English Courts (with the ultimate possibility of a CCJ being awarded). If you receive one of these documents - contact your local police.
